Find your place at Char Rate, a nomadic desire at an altitude of 3,600 mtr in the Singalila Himalayan Range. Imagine you are on the top of Singalila National Park one of the rarest high altitude forest towards the south base camp of Mt. Kanchanjunga. The place is located within a small valley called Thakun between ever calling Sandakphu & Falut route.

In earlier days it was one of the hill corridors between neighbouring Countris INDIA, NEPAL, SIKKIM & TIBET (CHINA). Yak used to played a vital role in the socio economy of the nomadic highlanders. They used to come from various places and gathered in this valley and stayed here for atleast four nights with the Yaks for farming. With the passage of time the name of the place stands as CHAR RATE, situated at Panchthar district of East Nepal.

Yak Lodge is the only place to stay over here. It is a small wooden Nest having cozy attached bath rooms with basic amenities. It stands every moment with the challenges of the survival sometimes the wind blows at a speed of more that 100 km / hrs and the temperature goes down far below the frozen mark. The hospitality with fresh made ethnic food will boost your Immune to cope up with the challenges. The limited resources of lighting arrangement will make you feel to be stayed at a lonely planet

An early morning may be started with a cup of Darjeeling Tea over viewing the mesmerizing presences of four of the five highest peaks in the world, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu & Kanchanjunga covering the whole sky. As the day proceeds the changes of different shades of the ice peaks along with the colours of National Park will struck you with surprise.

If luck favours you may experience the colourful fireworks of Rhododendron, Beautiful Himalayan Birds a lucky shy look of Red Panda, hostile Yak lazy Himalayan Sloth Bear and the Horses and Sheep’s gazeling down the valley will give you the esthetic and wild feelings.
